Despite going on a hunger strike for Ramadan, many Guantanamo Bay prisoners will be force fed through a rather uncomfortable procedure. Yasiin Bey, formerly Mos Def, took part in the force feeding procedure which on average takes 2 hours to complete and occurs twice a day. The Guardian was present with the cameras rolling as Yasiin had to endure the simulation of being force fed, where he was strapped down and had a tube shoved up his nose and down his throat.
