Two nights ago Steph Curry was the story of the night as he scored 38 points, broke George Hill’s ankles and tried to go for horsey ride on Roy Hibbert’s leg during a shoving match. Hibbert said he didn’t know which “light skinned player out of Steph or Klay” was hanging on his leg but the Knicks know which light skinned player lit them up for a NBA season high 54 points tonight.

Steph Curry scored 27 first half points and connected on a franchise record 11 (11-13) 3 pointers on his way to the 54 which was the most scored against the Knicks since LeBron’s 52. Besides only missing 2 from downtown, Steph was a perfect 7 for 7 from the charity stripe and 18-28 from the field.

Now comes the bad news for Steph and the Warriors on Coach Mark Jackson’s homecoming to the Garden. GS did absolutely nothing right in the final minute of the game which resulted in a 4 point loss to the Knicks. Melo, a little warm himself, scored 35 points to go along with 8 assists! If Steph and Melo’s stat lines weren’t enough to give a fantasy basketball gm an Extenze moment, Tyson Chandler had a career high 28 rebounds (10 offensive) to go along with 16 points.

Back to Curry. I had a hissy fit when he didn’t initially make the All-Star team but if his ankle can hold up and he continues to break ankles and set records, i’ll be satisfied with an apology in the form of an All-NBA selection.
