A 15-year-old boy is in the hospital in critical condition from injuries sustained during a brutal attack after refusing to join a gang, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The boy was beaten, stabbed in the neck, robbed and thrown in a dumpster during the attack, according to CBS Chicago. The assault occurred in the 2700 block of South Homan Ave. in the Little Village neighborhood, according to the Tribune.
A 16-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile in the assault that included “several other offenders,” according to the Chicago Sun Times.
