With a high profile class coming in, which will possibly include the number 1 High School prospect in Andrew Wiggins, University of Kentucky‘s 6’10 sharp shooter Kyle Wiltjer looks to take his talents to a different University to finish out his last two years of Eligibility. After speaking with Coach Cal, Kyle obviously got the notion that his role would be lessened going in to the 2013-14 season.

“Heading into college my dream was to win a National Championship and compete with and play against the best players in the country. Without a doubt , I accomplished both of these goals in my two years at Kentucky. Now as I head into my junior year I recognize that my new and adjusted goals requires me to make some very difficult upcoming decisions”

Kentucky, Kyle Wiltjer

Can you be mad at the kid? I mean who knows what could happen elsewhere. One thing he may miss out on unfortunately is being in a position to win another Chip. Time will only tell for the young talent. He came into his own as of last year and showed the nation that he can put the ball in the hoop. At times overlooked because of the High flying athleticism of Kentucky’s Freshman sensations Anthony Davis (2012-2013) and Goodwin and Noel off this years team, Wiltjer was looked upon to be the #1 option in the half court when the team struggled to get in rhythm. Whichever program lands this kid is getting a hard-worker and high-character type player that can undoubtedly shoot the rock.
