Amazon is in the process of developing a phone that would truly compete mono-y-mono with Apple’s iPhone, using Google’s Android.
Foxconn is working with Amazon on the device while Amazon is seeking wireless patents for the device so there would be no question of infringement.
A smartphone would only add to Amazon’s wide range of digital books, songs and movies.
