The upcoming Nike “Shooting Star” Pack explores the history of the revolutionary Nike Foamposite, featuring the Nike Air Foamposite One and the all new Lil Penny Posite. The former is an updated version of the shoe that first launched in 1997, birthed from the mind of designer Eric Avar after a long three-year process. The unique one-piece seamless design was inspired by a molded sunglass case and originally intended for Scottie Pippen (as the legend goes), but Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway would claim the shoe as his own during a meeting with Avar, who’d brought an early Foamposite sample. Dressed in an Orlando Magic colorway and adorned with an array of stars on the black eyestay, these special-edition Nike Air Foamposite Ones are packaged with a Lil Penny Posite in a specially designed box. The pack is scheduled to drop through select retailers and online starting May 17th.
