Up until now, you could tour their factory in Maranello, Italy, day dream with a LEGO set, build your own dream ride, or a don a pair of limited edition footwear, but things just got real with the announcement that Ferrari Land construction has begun. With a $112.3 million dollar price tag, Ferrari F1 Team Principal Maurizio Arrivalbene and Ferrari F1 team driver Sebastian Vettel have just set the first stone on the new Prancing Horse theme park in PortAventura Resort theme park. While specifics are limited, Ferrari Land will cover over 800,000 square feet with events for both families and adrenaline junkies alike, complete with high-end F1 simulators. Ferrari Land will also have a 367 foot tall vertical ride that is designed to mimic the g-force of a 0-180 km/h acceleration in just 5 seconds like F1 drivers feel. Construction is set to finish by the end of 2016 with an opening shortly after.
