Starbucks has just opened up a new location in Las Vegas and the seating arrangement is a little different when compared to the rest of the store layouts. In lieu of the standard tables and chairs, the interior has been fitted with theatrical stadium seating, that is able to sit 30-40 people. The seating has been constructed out of walnut wood, black steel concrete and glass. On top of its unique design, patrons are able to watch a short documentary that chronicles the Starbucks process on a 150 square foot movie screen. The store designer, Eric Mele, had this to say about the new space:
“This is a unique seating experience tailored to the idea of theater. Customers can enjoy the tiered spaces on either side of the grandstand seating, which organizes the space architecturally while providing great views to the theater of our coffee bar or to that of the bazaar beyond.”
