It looks like Nike is gearing up to bring back the original Hyperdunk in a bevy of colorways, just in time for the Olympics. The high-top made its debut back at the 2008 Olympic Games when Kobe Bryant and other members of the Redeem Team made use of the new silhouette throughout the tournament; several NBA teams also banned the model for lacking any real ankle support. The shoe did mark the introduction of Nike’s Flywire technology, though.
Nike has previewed two new tonal color ways of the OG Hyperdunk: a bright Solar Red and a wraith-like black-on-black. There is no official release date as yet, but stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
