From Tubulars to NMDs, Yeezys, the Yohji Yamamoto-designed Y-3 line, not to mention countless collaborations, the Brand with the Three Stripes continues to dominate global sales this year, consistently selling ahead of other sportswear apparel and footwear rivals like Nike and Under Armour. According to the Portland Business Journal, adidas jumped 31% in growth in first-quarter sales earlier this month with stock performing at a rate of +31.54% YTD (followed by Nike at -11.43% YTD and then Under Armour at -6.09% YTD). While adidas saw explosive growth from January to May 2016, its €16.9 billion EUR (approximately $18.8 billion USD) profits for 2015 are still dwarfed by Nike’s, which hit $30 billion USD in revenue for the fiscal year of 2015.
