Tawanna Iverson, the ex-wife of former NBA star Allen Iverson, has filed an application for a restraining order in Fulton County’s family court, hoping a judge can put a leash on nearly a half-million dollars he is set to receive in January.
She said she is owed more than $225,000 from the divorce. In the application, she asks the court to intercept a $450,000 payment from Reebok, which Allen Iverson is scheduled to receive in January, so that she can get the money she is owed. She also asks if the money is paid directly to her former husband, that the court “restrain him from using or otherwise disposing of” the funds, and require that he put the money in an account with the court until she is paid.
