Japanese scientists have made an incredible breakthrough in cancer research, as they have finally cracked the code and developed cells capable of killing cancer,
The Japanese scientists involved in developing the specifically cancer-killing T-cells say this paves the way for the cells being directly injected into cancer patients to alleviate them from tumors.
The cells injected do naturally occur, but only in small numbers. The Japanese scientists at the RIKEN Research Center for Allergy and Immunology hope that injecting large quantities will stimulate the immune system to work harder in fighting the cancer.
The immune system cells are called killer T lymphocytes, and they have the potential to greatly affect the lives of those who suffer from cancer.
