His “hacked Twitter” claim hasn’t deterred the Chicago police from launching an investigation into whether or not Keef had something to do with the murder. Lil Jojo was suspected by police to have been a member of the Chicago street gang the Gangster Disciples, who claimed “Brick Squad”. Keef and his #300 Squad are being investigated to determine whether or not they are a part of the Black Disciples, a huge rival of the Gangster Disciples.
Keef’s grandmother, Margaret “Granny” Carter, spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times about her grandson’s alleged involvement in street gangs. She believes that claim to be utterly ridiculous.
“Let’s be real, I’m always saying ‘Cut that down, turn that off, that’s too loud’ when he’s doing all that music. And girls is his thing. Girls, girls, girls. I get sick of all them girls. How can he be doing all that gang stuff when he’s always home and when he’s not at home he’s out of town with me or his uncle. And where’s this gang at? In my kitchen? In my basement? Where they at? In my refrigerator where he go all the time?”
