With a large portion of the world living in total poverty, those of us who don’t need to get a much better understanding of the hardships that countless people go through day in and day out.
The four college guys in this video decided to do exactly that. For 56 days, they chose to live on exactly $1 a day in Guatemala. The trailer gives people a glimpse of the life they lived, while also trying to understand the life locals live every day.
The project, supported by the Whole Planet Foundation, is certainly an eye-opening one. It’s also great because these guys are a lot younger than the creators of most documentaries, so maybe it will hit a little closer to home with the younger generations.
