There’s a pretty sticky situation brewing down in New Orleans. Star quarterback Drew Brees has been forced to file a lawsuit against former teammate, long snapper Kevin Houser.

According to Sports Illustrated, this lawsuit stems from a bogus investment deal Hauser somehow convinced Brees to be a part of. The deal turned out to be completely fabricated.

Brees reportedly loaned a whopping $160,000 in tax credits to Hauser for a film studio that he was building along with a partner. The actual studio itself never came into fruition and now that signal caller wants some answers. Drew’s lawyer, Daniel Bencel, admitted that while they tried to settle out of court, their attempts proved fruitless, which is why they were forced to file.

“We gave them an opportunity to settle,” Becnel said. “We didn’t want to file suit. We’ve been trying to negotiate with them.”
The craziest part of this whole story is that Brees isn’t the first Saints player to sue. Collectively, Houser managed to pull around $2 million from teammates and coaches of his. Now that’s what you call a swindler.

Among the other victims include Gary Gibbs, Jeremy Shockey and even head coach Sean Payton. All three of these gentleman have already settled their agreement with Houser. We will keep you updated on more breaking information from this story.
