The offseason is never a good time for pro and college athletes alike. Aside from killing somebody, there is always the chance they’ll crash their motorcycle going full speed into a turning vehicle.
That’s exactly what happened to Florida State Seminoles tight end Nick O’Leary. A quick fact about Nick, he is the grandson of golf legend Jack Nicklaus. That just makes this situation all the more high profile.
According to Business Insider, the junior tight end had a close brush with death when he got into this motorcycle crash back in May. And because of a nearby bus that was next to the scene of the accident, it was all caught on tape. Watch below as Nick soars through the air as a motorist takes an ill-advised turn.
There is no scarier sight than that. Surely, the driver who made that stupid turn is feeling like a complete assh*le. Thankfully, this kid is a football player and is built tough to take spills like this. O’Leary isn’t a bad athlete either.
He’s played two seasons for the Seminoles and has scored four touchdowns. Not bad for the grandson of a true legend. He flew nearly 100 feet ahead and suffered only minor injuries. This kid is lucky!
