Even though the ballin’ has stopped, the taxes keep on coming. Someone please remind former NBA great Chris Webber of that.
The State of California is calling in his tax tab, and filed a six-figure tax lien against Webber in the amount of $118,930.97. He owes $81,427.36 for both the last few months of the 2008 tax year and all of 2009, but when you toss in the $25,874.56 in penalties and $11,629.05 in interest, you get the six-figure total.
Webber’s reps have yet to respond.
