The Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant have agreed to a 2 year, $48 million dollar extension to keep the black mamba in Lakers purple and golden for the next two years. Although Kobe has yet to suit up with his Lakers this regular season with rehabbing from his torn achilles injury. Kobe has retuned to practice with his new look Lakers team and could return to live NBA game play within the next few weeks. Kobe’s extension proves the Lakers are still looking to compete and clearing some salary space proves the Lakers will be active in what will be a huge NBA free agency period during the summer of 2014. Let’s see if Kobe at the age of 35 can defy history and return to his all-star form.
