Manny Pacquiao made his basketball debut over the weekend for the KIA Sorento team of the Philippine Basketball Association.
According to the GMA Network, the boxer made history as the oldest rookie in the league. The 35-year-old played starter and finished with two turnovers in seven minutes of action.
When asked about the experience, Pacquiao was overwhelmed with the support he’s received from fans.
“We are happy and grateful for the warm reception by the thousands of fans here.” he said.
The athlete came back during halftime for a brief moment but didn’t play for the rest of the game.
