Max B caught a lucky break after a judge lowered his 75-year sentence for his role in a deadly 2009 robbery.

Bergen County Judge James Guida re-sentenced the 38-year-old Harlem rapper, born Charly Wingate, to 20 years after he took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, according to The New York Daily News.

Max B’s new sentence will grant him release in 2025.

Earlier this summer, a judge vacated Max B’s prior convictions citing a conflict of interest.

The reversal of the courts was the result of a motion for post-conviction relief filed in 2014 by Max B’s defense team. They argued Max B’s previous attorney, Gerald M. Saluti, had a financial stake in the outcome of the case.

Saluti advised Max B to reject a 10-year plea deal and take his case in front of a jury.

Max was convicted of felony murder, kidnapping and armed robbery for a botched robbery in September 2006 that led to the shooting death of 29-year-old David Taylor Jr.

Max wasn’t present at the scene of the murder, but he was the mastermind of the robbery.

Max ordered then-girlfriend Gina Conway and stepbrother Kelvin Leerdam to rob Taylor at a Holiday Inn in Fort Lee, Jew Jersey.

Leerdom was sentenced to life plus 35 years. Conway took a plea deal after pleading guilty and testifying against Max. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Max was pleased with the outcome of his hearing.

“I just want to thank you for the fair treatment, you know, looking into the situation to at least give me another opportunity to someday reunite with my children and my family,” he told Guida.
