At the 11th hour, Nike decided they could not loose one of their biggest superstars by making an offer that could be worth more than $300 million to Kevin Durant. Earlier this month, Under Armour pulled out their war chest offering a deal in the $265-$285 million range along with stock options to Durant. But with Nike’s option to match any offer on the table, a deal was struck earlier Sunday that would keep Kevin Durant with Nike for the next 10 years. If all goes well, the final sneaker of this mega deal will be the Nike KD 17 due the Summer of 2024.
