Accepting the role of Batman wasn’t a simple acting gig for Christian Bale, as the character came loaded with heightened expectations. The same could be said for his part in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Biblical epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings. Here, Bale is Moses, who’s seen in the trailer looking more superhero than ancient prophet. He squares off against Rhamses (Joel Edgerton) in his quest to lead legions of enslaved Israelites out of Egypt, and the action promises plenty of sword-wielding mayhem, along with the occasional Bilbical plague. Also starring Ben Kingsley, Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro and Aaron Paul, Exodus: Gods and Kings hits theaters on December 12.
