Well, that was fast. With more hype surrounding March Madness thanks to Warren Buffett and Quicken Loans perfect bracket challenge, where they were offering anybody who guessed the entire tournament right $1 billion, this was supposed to be the year someone finally achieved immortality.
Unfortunately on Friday, the group made the announcement that there are no remaining perfect brackets in circulation and that everybody who signed up has been eliminated. Sorry, guys.
Then again, who would have really predicted that Dayton was going to upset Ohio State and Mercer would beat Duke? Nobody!
That doesn’t mean there’s no cash to be dispensed, however. According to TIME, there is still $100,000 being offered to contestants who finish in the the top twenty brackets, so don’t lose all hope yet!
I guess it’s time to start getting your bracket ready for next year. Hopefully Warren raises the stakes even higher next time!
