Rick Owens releases two iterations of his coveted high-top sneakers. Channeling some design cues from the original Geobasket, this new iteration maintains the perforated vamp, side zip opening and the extended tongue tab. The black uppers are detailed with orange accents which highlight the silhouette’s padded collar and lateral arch-shaped overlays. The look is finished off with contrasting white shoe laces and a white rubber outsole.
Moving on to the Babel high-top sneaker, this edition incorporates a polychromatic calf-leather upper. A brushed dark-olive color coats the tongue tab and the sides, whereas the forefoot and the heel are dressed with a lighter shade. Securing the beige laces, metallic eyelets are clasped onto the sand-colored lace stay. A key element of the design would be the translucent rubber sole which gives a complete view of the calf-leather structure.
Priced at $1,340 USD and $1,480 USD, for the Geobasket and Bable, respectively, each of the high-top sneakers are available now on the brand’s website and at web stores like Farfetch.
