Skip Bayless is an enigma. His undying hatred towards LeBron James, and most superstars in sports, is truly befuddling as he is the furthest thing from an athlete or champion.
But every Monday through Friday, he takes to “ESPN’s First Take” to dish out all of the bullsh*t that he can’t take back. And after LeBron James and the Heat’s remarkable 7-game series win over the San Antonio Spurs, he found some way to talk his sh*t. The results? He sounds like a complete moron. Per usual.
Come on, man. Shut up already. While it was interesting to finally see him give it up to LeBron and credit him for his championship-style play, he still found a way to turn this whole thing around to San Antonio choking.
Is he right? Absolutely not. Miami took what was rightfully theirs and the better team definitely won. In a 7-game series, the truth is always revealed and in 2013, that truth is that the Heat are the best team in the NBA.
You can’t discredit the fact that it was a complete team effort either. While Skip congratulates LeBron for winning his second title in two years, he forgets to mention fellow stars Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and even Shane Battier or Ray Allen. To say that they didn’t have just as big of a part in the victory is completely misleading.
Stephen A. Smith was quick to correct him and give it up to Wade, who was a huge part of the game 6 and 7 victories, despite suffering from knee injuries in both legs. How much longer will this Miami Heat team be able to keep up this high level of play? Well, that’s solely dependent on how long LeBron decides to stay. Until then, give it up for your 2013 NBA Champions.
