As the league leader in scoring in four of the last five NBA seasons, Kevin Durant knows something about efficiency and shot selection. Every time he steps on the basketball court, the hardwood becomes an apple orchard, and as he picks apart the defense, he also picks his shots the way one picks apples in the orchard. As KD himself puts it, the wide-open three and post-up at the nail represent the good apples, while the pull-up three in transition and the step-back fade away are relegated to the rotten pile. The apple-picking concept inspires the Nike KD7 “Good Apples,” the latest version of Durant’s seventh signature that’s finished in black and accented with splashes of red and green. The kicks launch in stores October 4th.
