Christmas is here and Nike Basketball has dropped a little preview of a very festive rendition of LeBron James’ signature sneaker. Part of the 2014 Christmas Collection we showed you earlier this week, the LeBron 12 “Akron Birch” was specially made (by elves) at Nike’s Sport Research Lab using their Zoom Air technology. A photorealistic camouflage pattern inspired by the winter birch trees in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio makes up the upper, while integrated Black and Hyperpunch micro dots give the shoe a nice seasonal touch. All this and a small snowflake detail sitting on the tongue loop sits on top of a bold emerald green base. The Nike LeBron 12 “Akron Birch” will be available starting December 26 and you can bet that you’ll see King James himself wearing them during the anticipated Christmas Day game.
