Cordell Broadus, son of rap star Snoop Dogg, has left the UCLA football team, according to USA Today.
Broadus was absent during this week’s preseason camp.
Head coach Jim Mora issued a statement confirming Cordell’s decision.
“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life — in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” Mora said. “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”
Broadus was a four-star wide receiver recruit out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas who was rated No. 26 at his position in the class of 2015, according to SB Nation. The 6’3, 185-pound athlete chose the Bruins over his father’s favorite team USC Trojans, Sports Illustrated reports. – See more at: http://kollegekidd.com/news/snoop-dogg-son-cordell-broadus-quits-ucla-football-team/#sthash.CResrzE8.dpuf
