McDonald’s is hoping to pilot a mobile ordering system this year, according to its Chief Digital Officer Atif Rafiq. “We will be piloting ordering capabilities through mobile in some geographies outside the United States this year,” Rafiq said to TheStreet. ”It’s important for us to work out the kinks so we can scale it up as soon as possible.” In addition to a mobile ordering system, the fast food chain is also hoping to modernize its customer experience as well as working on its first-ever loyalty program. Currently, the chain has only experimented with a rewards program for beverage consumers in test markets such as California and New York City. What do you think about this advancement?
