Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud is one of the richest monarchs in the world. Dealbook has reported that the prince has gone to new lengths with his wealth, spending around $500 million on a customized A380 from Airbus.
This creation will be the most expensive private jet to ever exist.
The Daily Mail has uncovered some of the reasons this jet cost so much to build. These are such luxurious additions that it took more than three years for them to be constructed.
The A380 is usually a commercial airliner and can hold 800 passengers on its three levels. Here is what is inside the prince’s tricked out version of this jet:
A parking spot for his Rolls-Royce
Five suites with king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms with showers
First-class “sleepers” for an additional 20 guests
A steam room for spa treatments and a marble-finished Turkish bath
A boardroom with holographic displays
A prayer area “in which computer-generated mats move to point towards Mecca”
A “concert hall” with a baby grand piano and seating for 10
A spiral staircase connecting all three floors
The plane is expected to make its first trip in 2013.
