Harborside Health Center, the “world’s largest pot shop,” has been under attack by republicans ever since it began attracting a vast amount of clients and attaining immense success.
Many officials have tried to have the dispensary shut down for reasons we still cannot understand.
They thought they finally got their way on Tuesday when Oakland’s court rejected Harborside’s lawsuit to stop Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S Attorney Melinda Haag from closing Harborside for good.
But even though they are legally supposed to pack up all their greens and go home, Harborside will apparently stay opened until the authorities force them to vacate the property.
“We are, of course, disappointed in today’s ruling,” Harborside executive director Steve DeAngelo said in a statement. “In the meantime, Harborside will continue to provide our patients with the very best cannabis medicines we can find, in the safest and most beautiful environment we can create, with the very highest level of care and service.”
Harborside has roughly 108,000 patients and collects about $20 million a year. They generate nearly $3 million in tax revenue yet for some reason, the court believes they aren’t having a positive impact on society.
