In its battle for rating and television viewership, FOX Broadcasting Company might’ve just “outfoxed” the competition over the weekend when it previewed the upcoming The Simpsons + Family Guy crossover episode. First mentioned on trade publication Variety last summer, the much anticipated episode will have Homer Simpsons and Peter Griffin trading barbs on the subject of beer while Stewie and Bart refine the art of prank calls. Shown during a panel discussion at Comic-Con International: San Diego, the 5-minute long clip even features a cameo by Bob Belcher of animated series Bob’s Burgers. Titled the “The Simpsons Guy”, the mash-up episode will help launch the fall season when it premiers on Sunday, September 28th.
