Today Twitter rolled out a new version of the profile featuring a larger image with your avatar on it and some information. Look familiar? It’s very Facebook Timeline-esq. This new feature is called a header photo. This new header photo will be shown across all platforms. Don’t get me wrong it does make the profiles look cooler and I hate to say it but right now Ryan Seacrest is doing it the best. With ours, Johnny’s face is covered.
You can see what the Today Show’s profile would look like across major devices above. Take a look at Matt Lauer’s, Al Roker and Breaking News for more examples. Twitter also updated the home page by removing the boxed in images that rotate. They will now fill the screen. It looks much better.
