Over the years, we’ve seen some tremendous talent at the collegiate football level. Guys like Reggie Bush at USC and Charles Woodson at Michigan left their mark on the game, and even today with Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M can we see the same kind of star power.
But there’s a true freshman over at UCLA who might just end up being better than all three of them. Meet Myles Jack.
He’s a 6’1″ 225-pound linebacker who starts right in the middle of that vaunted Bruins defense and, oh yeah, he’s a real game-changer. In eight games this season, he made 56 tackles but his role was expanded when the team played Arizona and he was asked to step up and play some running back.
With absolutely no practice on offense (besides a hotel ballroom walkthrough), Jack went off for 120 yards and a touchdown with just six carries. Oh yeah, and eight solo tackles on defense.
The next week against Washington, Jack scored four touchdowns to go along with five tackles proving that he was no fluke. A linebacker scoring four touchdowns in one game? Unreal. This kid is a straight beast!
