Football coaches are some sick individuals. Anyone who played in high school, or made it to the college ranks, knows that while they can be great leaders, they are sometimes borderline pedophiles.
Urban Meyer exhibited a perfect example of this while recruiting Raekwon McMillan, the top rated linebacker in the class of 2014 out of Hinesville, Georgia. Raekwon is your prototypical blue chip linebacker. He’s got the size, the strength, and the butt?
Meyer made a rather bizarre observation, McMillan revealed in an interview with 247 Sports, when he admitted that he calls him ‘bubble’ for his ‘bubble butt.’ First of all — ayo. Second of all, what you mean?!
Under no circumstance is it cool for a 48-year-old man to be peeping a 18-year-old boy’s cake, let alone give it a nickname. As weird as it sounds, though, there is apparently a good meaning which Raekwon explained.
“He calls me ‘Bubble.’ That’s because he said I have a linebacker butt.” “I have a wide butt with a great leg base…He says all great athletes have huge butts and great strength bases there. He was telling me about guys like Tim Tebow, Brandon Spikes and Percy Harvin. Guys like that. He said they were built the same way.”
I guess when he breaks it down like that, it’s a little better. Those guys are not bad players to be compared to and I think it’s safe to say that Urban Meyer knows what he’s talking about.
Should he decide to attend Ohio State next semester, I have a feeling they will be playing this song out of the stadium speakers in the Horse Shoe.
