This is bad for business.
according to Ohio.com — Akron offensive lineman Scott Boyett shot teammate Andrew Pratt in the stomach after mistaking him for a burglar.
About 3 a.m., Pratt entered Boyett’s apartment without knocking or announcing himself.
Boyett shot Pratt because he thought he was a burglar.
Someone at the house called police at 3:22 a.m. By the time officers arrived, Boyett had already taken Pratt to the emergency room at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Pratt was transferred to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center. He is expected to recover. Both players confirmed it was an accident. No charges will be filed.
School officials declined comment on the matter.
