If there’s one thing they know how to do down in Miami, it’s celebrate a championship. So when LeBron James and company hit up Story Nightclub fresh off their title win over the San Antonio Spurs, they turned up.
From getting their grub on, to popping bottle after bottle, these are the things you need to know about that fateful night. But two days removed from the festivities, the bar tab from the party has finally been revealed. So just how ratchet did players on the Heat get Thursday evening? How about guzzling $100K worth of sauce.
According to ESPN.com, the Heat ordered 100 bottles of Dom Perignon as well as three separate three-liter bottles during their visit. However for the second year straight, club owner David Grutman, picked up the tab. A little thank you for returning yet another title to the beautiful city of Miami.
Grutman says they sell the standard 750-milliliter bottles of Dom Perignon for $850 each and the club sells 3-liter bottles, called Jeroboams, for $5,000. When asked why he did it, he had just this to say:
“I’m not going to charge the Heat.”
While they say there’s nowhere to play like in New York, there really is nowhere else to win like in Miami. In addition to getting comped free bottles at the club, there are hundreds of the finest Spanish locas to choose from. You better believe these Heat groupies have been out in full force, congratulating their heroes on this epic win. Check out the scene from the night below.
